I am a clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience in direct practice and am passionate about supporting clients on their journeys navigating complex challenges. As a community social worker in Ottawa, I had the honour of working collaboratively and creatively with a wide range of clients from diverse backgrounds. I have extensive experience with both youth and adults in case management and psychotherapeutic capacities.

I have training in a range of therapeutic techniques, including Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Mindfulness, Somatics, EMDR, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I have a wide practice scope, having worked with clinical presentations including relational issues, anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, substance dependency, disordered eating, body dysmorphia, bi-polar disorder, PTSD and complex trauma. Working from a holistic perspective, I incorporate elements of mind/body techniques in my practice, and honour the wisdom of psycho-physiological feedback. Our bodies have a lot to tell us, and supporting clients to enhance their ability to listen to those teachings is a foundational part of my work.

Above all else, I value the power of co-creating supportive spaces with my clients, building foundations of trust and connection, where safe exploration of challenges can be fostered. I am well-versed in teaching and practicing various coping strategies, and while intertwining these skills in sessions is an important element of what I have to offer, I know inherently that the power of listening to and witnessing the experiences of my clients is the most important element of the therapeutic process. Within this, I intend to collaborate with my clients, offering techniques where appropriate, and checking in frequently to ensure that my clients feel they are gaining what they are hoping for from our work together. Ultimately, I seek to aid my clients in developing feelings of self efficacy and personal empowerment, which are crucial elements of well-being.

I am a member of the Ontario Association of Social Work and am registered with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. My services are covered under most health insurance plans.
